About the programme

On Sunday 12 April 2026 the Mission Har Ghar Jal donation drive distributed 200 blue roller water drums to women in Khardi, a remote village in Surgana taluka, Nashik district. As the press headlines put it, the drums lighten the load of carrying water on the head: they are rolled rather than lifted. The drive was organised by Rotary Club of Nashik North, Inner Wheel Club of Gen-next Nashik and Stree Udyami Foundation, with Inner Wheel Club of Thane Shining Stars among the supporters.

What it covered

  • Water access for rural women
  • Roller water drums
